Bulgari Octo Quadri-Retro Chronograph Gerald Genta Watch

Bulgari, the famous Italian luxury brand, grandly previews its new creation for the 2011 Baselworld - Octo Quadri-Retro Chronograph Gerald Genta Watch. It is another masterpiece with a magnificent look and complicated watch functions from Bulgari. Let me unveil it to you.

The magnificent look is partly contributed by its chucky case. It is made of the graded stainless steel and ceramics. It is a relatively large one with a 45mm case diameter. At three o’clock, the case is set with a winding crown which is embellished with an onyx cabochon. Next to the crown at the two sides are the push pieces which ensure the chronograph functions of reset and stop/start.

The dial, well shielded by a sapphire crystal face, requires lots of crafts and thoughts to be what it presents. It is shaped in octagonal and has no obvious hour markers. The time is captured by two centralized hands, pointing to the minute and second respectively. The chronograph functions of 12 hours and 30 minutes are artistically displayed in two balanced arcs at the nine o’clock and three o’clock respectively. A delicate window below twelve o’clock indicates the date clearly. Below the dial window is the brand’s logo which could be exquisitely viewed. The sophisticated and magnificent dial has actually gone through a complicated process. An ancient cloisonné technique is applied and the lacquer material is used. The surfaces of the dial have been varnished, smoothed and polished to create the splendid look.

Inside the watch is a Swiss automatic Gerald Genta in-house movement, caliber GG7800. It operates at a frequency of 216,000 v/h, and reserves power to 45 hours. The watch is able to resist power to 100 meters.

Finishing off the magnificent look of the Bulgari Octo Quadri-Retro Chronograph Gerald Genta Watch is a classic black leather strap.
